I'm sure most of you gamers and Bat-fans know that WB Games announced that they would be producing a prequel to the
Batman: Arkham game
franchise, which will introduce a younger Batman who will encounter many of his greatest enemies for the first time.
Much to the dismay of the fandom,
Rocksteady Studios was not going to be involved with the production of the game, and it was also announced that
Kevin Conroy (the voice of Batman for
many fans) would not be returning to voice Bruce Wayne/Batman.
While some have been wary of the project since the announcement, WB Games has released a ton of game images and concept art to help ease the concerns of the Arkham fans and today brings our first teaser trailer for the game. While it doesn't show any actual game play footage, the trailer is pretty badass and has a very cinematic quality to it.
The game's full trailer will be released May 20th, so be on the look out for a future post (promise). In the meantime, you can check out the teaser embedded below after the break.
Batman: Arkham Origins features an expanded Gotham City and introduces an original prequel storyline occurring several years before the events of Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City. Taking place before the rise of Gotham City's most dangerous villains and assassins, the game showcases a young, raw, unrefined Batman as he faces a defining moment in his early career as a crime fighter that sets his path to becoming the Dark Knight. As the story unfolds, witness identities being formed and key relationships being forged.
Batman: Arkham Origins is expected to hit shelves October 25th.
What do you think of the teaser? Does it make you excited for the game or wary that it won't live up to it's predecessors?
