Trailer for Tim Burton's Frankenweenie

Walt Disney Pictures has just released the first trailer for Tim Burton's remake of his beloved Frankenweenie.  The original 29 min short debuted in 1984, starring Shelly Duvall, Daniel Stern and The Neverending Story's Barret Oliver.

The updated black and white, stop-motion adaptation features voices from Winona Ryder, Martin Short, Catherine O'Hara, Martin Landau, Charlie Tahan, Atticus Shaffer, Robert Capron and Conchata Ferrell.
After unexpectedly losing his beloved dog Sparky, young Victor harnesses the power of science to bring his best friend back to life—with just a few minor adjustments. He tries to hide his home-sewn creation, but when Sparky gets out, Victor's fellow students, teachers and the entire town all learn that getting a new "leash on life" can be monstrous
Frankenweenie will open in 3D and 2D theaters on October 5.
